Performances at Macau Arts Festival

For the 20th Macau Arts Festival, the artist David Myriam present originales sand drawing performances during 3 different live music concerts.

May 10th, 2009 : with Mass Ensemble

The world band Mass Ensemble present a original concert with sand drawing performances during several pieces. Mass Ensemble invent and play with atypical instruments, like a large harp. A aerial dancer with tissues also presented great shows.

This concert took place at Macao Grand Auditorium, the concert hall was full (1100 seats) and the show fantastic.

May 14, 15, 2009 : with The Macao Chinese Orchestra

David Myriam’s sand performances attented two differents evening concerts,
with traditional Chinese music, classical pieces (Mozart) and pieces from the Portuguese culture.

These concerts were held at the Dom Pedro V Theater, a beautiful old theater downtown Macau. The sand painting performance tone particularly well with the expressive nature of Chinese songs.
