Sand shows in Musica Nigella Festival, France

For the sixth Musica Nigella Festival, David Myriam presented original works for two different concerts.

Musica Nigella is a festival of music friendlyt and endearing in France, where passionate fans can listen to high quality chamber music.

June 2, Concert at the Musica Nigella Salon in Tigny-Noyelle

– The Secret Life of Oceans with the Ensemble Musica Nigella

• Takemitsu: And Then I Knew ’twas Wind for flute, viola and harp
• Debussy: The Sunken Cathedral Piano
• Crumb: Vox Balaenae (Voice of the Whale) for flute, cello and piano + Sand Drawing
• Natsuda: The Song of the whale for trombone, string trio and percussion + Sand Drawing
• Debussy: La Mer, three symphonic sketches (the versions Nemoto sextet for winds and piano)

For the first time in public, David Myriam has used blue sand, which was perfect for the underwater world!

June 4, Final Concert in Berck-sur-Mer

– Metamorphosis

• Britten: Six Metamorphoses after Ovid for solo oboe + Sand Drawing
• Camatte: Woman changed fox (Order of the festival / World Premiere) + Sand Drawing
• Stravinsky: the cat lullabies
• Offenbach: Cat metamorphosed into a woman, an opera buffa (D. Chouillet version)
